Mediocre action film costume, set in Roman Britain in 140 AD
A Roman army officer and his British slave enter into the territories beyond Hadrian's Wall in search of the eagle (in the sense of a symbol of Rome) lost years before the ninth legion, commanded by the officer's father (or something).
The two stumble upon a tribe still in the stone age (where people walk barefoot run faster than horses) a bit 'of triccheballacche and the ending is obvious beyond the obvious.
The title is
The Eagle, the story revolves around banner in the shape of an eagle and the protagonist is named Flavio Marco Eagle. That is the level of sophistication of the film. And by the way till the end I thought it was called Accola, because the British do not know how to pronounce Latin.
Final Comment: worth the time to take the car, find parking, pay the euros? No, but if they give it one night on TV we can be.
